The grapevines for this wine date back to the 1860’s and were planted when the Deavers first settled in Amador County. Still maintained by the family today, they showcase how aged vines can produce a remarkable wine of incredible depth and character.
An impressive bouquet boasts blackberry jam and wild strawberries. Ripe tannins and good acid structure make for a very well-balanced wine that will only get better with age.
Though certainly enoyable in its present state, you may want to save this one for a special occasion.
